About

Painting is an exciting journey of discovery for me. I am continually seeking new ways to express my personal visual depiction of the beauty around me.

My belief is that art should not stand still. It should continue to grow and evolve showing the imagination and innovation of the artist.

This latest work is a combination of coastal scenes and the colourful gardens I have visited and enjoyed.

Early retirement from teaching has enabled me to indulge my lifelong passion for painting and to become more innovative and varied in my work.

I paint daily using various media including acrylics, watercolour, mixed media and charcoal. I enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes, still life and cockerels.

I exhibit my work in Shropshire and also on The Wirral. Prizes for my work have been awarded by the Grosvenor Society Chester and the Deeside Art Group. In Shropshire I exhibit annually with the Oswestry Art Society, the Church Stretton and Ellesmere Art Festivals and the Annual Ellesmere College National Exhibition. I exhibit throughout the year locally in the Willow Gallery, Oswestry.

My work is also to be found in America, Canada, France and Spain.
